Exigent Defense FireTeam556 Suppressor
The Exigent Defense FireTeam556 is a compact 5.56 suppressor built for shooters who want reduced gas blowback, durable construction, and dependable performance during demanding firing schedules.
Rather than relying on traditional welded construction, the FireTeam556 is produced from Inconel 718 using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). This additive manufacturing process allows Exigent Defense to incorporate complex internal geometry and gas-flow paths directly into the suppressor body while maintaining a one-piece design.
Designed for Better Gas Management
The FireTeam556 uses internal venting and bypass paths to redirect a portion of the expanding gases away from the bore line. The design is intended to limit back-pressure and reduce the amount of gas directed back toward the shooter and firearm, an important consideration when suppressing semi-automatic 5.56 rifles.
Its internal geometry was also developed with flash reduction in mind, giving the FireTeam556 a combination of sound, gas, and flash management in a relatively compact package.
Inconel 718 Construction
At only 5.75 inches long, the FireTeam556 uses Inconel 718 throughout its suppressor body. Inconel’s resistance to heat, oxidation, erosion, and corrosion makes it particularly well suited to suppressors exposed to high temperatures and demanding firing schedules.
The DMLS manufacturing process also allows the suppressor to be produced without conventional welded seams and joints, reducing the number of potential structural failure points.
The FireTeam556 is full-auto rated and has a manufacturer-specified minimum barrel length of 10.3 inches.
A C-102 Graphite Black Cerakote finish provides additional protection against abrasion and environmental exposure.
